What would you like help with?
The approach depends not only on the presence of gallstones or a polyp, but also on your symptoms, signs of inflammation, test results and the condition of the bile ducts.
Gallstones
If gallstones cause episodes of pain or complications have already occurred, a surgeon assesses whether laparoscopic gallbladder removal is indicated.
Send your results →Acute cholecystitis
Pain under the right ribs, fever, nausea and signs of inflammation require timely medical assessment.
Call us →Gallbladder polyp
The decision depends on the size of the polyp, growth over time, symptoms and other risk factors. Ultrasound findings are assessed individually.
Request an assessment →A stone in a bile duct
Suspected bile duct stones require a separate diagnostic and treatment plan. Further investigations or an endoscopic procedure may be needed.
Ask for a consultation →Items to confirm in your treatment estimate

The source page describes incisions of approximately 0.5–1 cm rather than a wide surgical incision.
4K visualisation
An enlarged video image helps the surgical team see anatomical structures during the procedure.

Does finding gallstones mean the gallbladder must be removed?
Finding gallstones alone does not describe the whole clinical situation. The decision depends on symptoms, complications and investigation results. A surgeon determines whether an operation is indicated after assessing the patient.
What should I do about acute pain under the right ribs?
Severe or persistent pain, particularly with fever, vomiting or jaundice, needs urgent medical assessment. Do not wait for a reply to an online form.
When does a gallbladder polyp require surgery?
The approach depends on the size of the polyp, its growth, symptoms and risk factors. The ultrasound report and clinical situation need to be assessed before deciding what to do.
What if a stone is already in the common bile duct?
If bile duct stones are suspected, further blood tests and imaging of the bile ducts may be needed. Some patients require endoscopic stone removal before or as part of their treatment. The approach is decided individually.
How much does laparoscopic gallbladder removal cost?
Ask the centre for a current individual estimate covering the operation, preoperative assessment and hospital stay. Earlier prices on the source page are not presented here as current offers.
